There is no 2015 laptop model with upgradeable memory. You must be referring to the MBPro 13" (mid-2012) which was sold until about 2016.

If you want to perform a clean install of macOS, then I highly recommend you make a bootable macOS 10.15 USB installer now while you still can.

While a 2012 laptop has access to Internet Recovery Mode (Command + Option + R), there have been numerous reports on the Apple forums that it may no longer be possible to reinstall macOS through recovery mode or Internet Recovery Mode since it seems like Apple may have turned of the macOS servers (I believe you may be able to access the utilities screen for recovery mode, but that may be all).

@stumpy1946 is spot on for their suggestions.

You may also want to run EtreCheck and post the report here so we can examine it for clues in case it is not malware, but just some other software issue. If it is a performance issue, then it may be the SSD or more likely the internal hard drive SATA Cable which has an extremely high rate of failure on the 13" 2012 model.

"I’ve got a malware or something on it." Please describe "or something".

Malware is relatively easy to remove. But what makes you think you have malware? Its presence is usually pretty definable.

Thank you for the answer I guess I didn’t give enough info before, if you have time would you tell me what you think about my question now.

2015 MacBook Pro that I rebuilt with a 1TH SSD and maxed the ram, I put a new operating system on it at the time so everything was new and it was great. Now after years, it still runs fast but I’ve got a malware or something on it. I’m not familiar with how to pull those things off so I wanted to know if I just wipe the SSD clean and went back with a new operating system with those items to be removed those problem items like malware? Or maybe you could recommend some software that could help remove these things?

Thank you in advance I appreciate your time.

Sorry but must, the 2015 MacBook Pro the age is correct ?

A 2015 MacBook Pro would only qualify to run macOS 12 Monterey at Best

By posting in macOS 14 Sonoma, sometimes a placement error does occur, it seems to suggest the computer is presently running a version of macOS it does not Qualify to run.

Is that correct ?
