Cannot pass two-factor authorization due to unavailable SIM card

On other Apple ID cannot pass two-factor authorization due to unavailable SIM card while sending code on phone number. All other steps passed. What to do?

Not sure what your issue is.


Sim cards are not tied to 2-factor authentication.


The only exception to this, is when trying to send a 2 factor authentication code via SMS to a different device or phone. The number in question must be active, and the device that uses that number, must be able to receive SMS messages. In most cases this means having a valid sim card that has the number in question and its settings.

If the number or service are not available for any reason, then the code cannot be received.


You should contact your carrier / service provider to get a sim card with that number so you can receive the SMS messages with the code.


If the number or service is no longer owned by you, then you should have updated that number at some point to new functional and accessible one.


If you cannot receive 2-factor codes, you will need to contact Apple Support to access your account.
