WiFi error with Apple TV

Model A1469, software version 7.9 (8163)

when troubleshooting trying to connect WiFi after getting error messages on different WiFi and Other, the Apple troubleshooting instructions say to ‘Forget Network’. I don’t see that on my apple options. Where is it??

You aren't connected to a network as shown in your picture, so nothing to forget.


You would need to connect to an existing network to be able to forget it.


Select the Wi-Fi option to see available Wi-Fi networks around you.

Did you recently change your router to a newer model?


Apple TV 3rd Generation may have issues when connecting to 5GHz Wi-Fi networks. You may need to set the router to only offer a 2.4GHz network to get the Apple TV to connect.

Also, if your router has different networks for the different frequencies, make sure the password for both is the same, to avoid these issues.
