Please fix AirDrop it’s not working

Have you tried changing the option on the receiving device to accept AirDrop from Everyone instead of Contacts Only?

That would be the next step in troubleshooting if restarting does not work. Also make sure WiFi and Bluetooth are turned on with both devices and neither are using the Personal Hotspot.

Need more info on what you have tried:

• Wifi on
• Bluetooth on
• Restarted both devices
• Receiving device set to Everyone
• Can you send in the opposite direction
• Does the device show up, but not send
• Which devices are you using for AirDrop
• Receiving device unlocked? It will not show up on the sending device if it is locked.

A lot of times the receiving device screen will lock by the time you get the sending device set to send the file. Once the receiving screen locks, the device will not show up on the sending device.

Anyways, glad you are up and running and hopefully it will continue working for you now.

That was already done. After my wife restarted hers again, it worked for a minute and then went away again. We restarted it again, and then it worked. So 3rd times the charm?

In most cases, restarting both devices will fix this problem.
