I have an iPhone 12 Pro and was wondering if I could use my current SIM card and place into my old iPhone 8? If so would there be any issues regarding saved messages/numbers/photos etc. with my current iPhone 12?

Yes you can because the saved files depend on the Apple ID/iCloud not the phone number, the only issue can be with whatsApp if you use it that will be linked to the ‘original’ phone number unless you reinstall it.
Many thanks for your reply, I’m wondering would you be able to assist me… My Old iPhone 8 is on charge after being out of use for some time, But with it being a black screen it keeps showing the Apple logo but will not let me turn the phone on

If it’s not being charged for quite a while it’ll take longer to charge and turn on, it’s an iPhone 8 so it could also be the battery isn’t efficient as it was when new. Hopefully it will charge
