Why do you make people pay extra once a new phone comes out? Stop making us have to upgrade!
Apple isn't here, just fellow users.
Nothing has changed on your device. You've simply used up your available space in iCloud and/or on your device. If you've filled your device, you'll need to delete data. You need not use iCloud and you need not keep all of your data on your device. The release of a new phone has no effect on the storage available on your device; it's fixed at whatever it was when purchased. Delete app data, offload apps, delete permanently photos and videos to free space.
When new devices are released some features may not work on devices that do it include hardware to support the feature. But, Apple continues to support devices for a long time, much longer than competitors.
If you sync with iCloud, and wish to continue to do so, you'll need to purchase additional space.
Or, you can just keep files on your device, sync with your computer, etc.

There is no requirement for this. So, what to do...
Download All of iCloud:
Save a Few: If you wanted to, rather than upgrading your iCloud plan, you could export all of iCloud onto an external disk, and then search for the files on the Hard Drive in a new Finder window. then verify you can access the data. You would have run out of space regardless if any new phone. Again, you need not use iCloud. If you wish to sync your devices automatically, iCloud is the best option. Otherwise, you simply sync to your computer.

Not helpful…. You must work for Apple, or get paid by them. Still paying for a phone that’s supposedly does everything, at least till a new product is released. It’s all to make people buy a new phone. I’ve deleted apps, pics, videos and stopped apps from running. That should free up space. It didn’t. So basically Apple is trying to force me to buy the new phone! No matter what you say you know that is true!
So why can’t I download a pic my girlfriend sent me the other day. It says a few pics not put in my photos?
What is the exact message? Are you out of space on your device? If so, you'll need to erase content, or offload it.
It says my iCloud storage is full. Wants me to buy more storage space. I don’t want to lose a lot of pics I have. It says 28 photos and two videos can’t sync…
I have deleted a lot of pics ext that were duplicate or just not worth keeping… still says need to buy more storage space
As I said… making people pay once Apple comes out with a new phone! Everything was fine until the new phone came out
Why do you make people buy more storage!? We pay enough for these phones! Stop being greedy. You advertise a product that is “great” but once an upgrade comes along people have to pay for extra storage space or other services! Stop charging extra!
