Apple Pencil Autocorrect

I have apps and games that have lists of items, like inventory, people/characters, places, etc. I tend to use my Apple Pencil when searching through these lists, because I can just write out the item I am looking for. I also use different notes apps as well for making my own lists. I have been having an issue, when writing, where words will change to completely different words. For example: Maui corrects to Navi. No matter how carefully I write, the words will sometimes change. I have tried adjusting autocorrection settings, but nothing seems to work.
