Can't log out of account on iPad

I cannot log out of my ipad's Apple ID account.

I have turned off Screen Time. The "sign out" is still faded out.

I have turned it on and off.

iPad mini 5, iPadOS 17

If you have set a ScreenTime Passcode, this must be removed before you will be able to sign-out from your AppleID account:

Settings > ScreenTime > Change ScreenTime Passcode > Turn Off ScreenTime Passcode

Having disabled the Passcode, you should be able to sign-out from your AppleID/iCloud.

Not only didn't it work, after sitting for more than hour with Apple's online chat support, now 2 other devices won't log out.

I'm ready to start shucking my Apple devices. I am tired of how with every update there's some new way for them to mess up what used to be the best devices out there.
