It appears that Apple has not extended support for the MacBook Pro 2016
to run the latest macOS 14 Sonoma, as my MacBook Pro 2016 is currently
operating on macOS Monterey 12.7. Please advise. Thank you. ---G

Yes, Monterey is the end of the line for your MacBook Pro, unfortunately. Your only option to run the Sonoma MacOS would be to trade in your 2016 MacBook Pro for a new MacBook Air or MacBook Pro.
