how to stop "download calendar reminder" on apple watch

Get apps from the App Store on your Apple Watch

1. Press the Digital Crown to see the Home screen, then tap the App Store.

2. Tap Search to find apps using Scribble or Dictation or scroll down to discover featured apps and curated app collections.

3. Tap an app to see its description, ratings and reviews, screenshots, release notes, and more.

4. Tap the price or tap Get.

5. When prompted, double-click the side button under the Digital Crown to download and install the app.

Get apps with the iPhone that's paired with the Apple Watch

1. On your iPhone, open the Watch app.

2. Tap the My Watch tab.

3. Scroll to the app that you want to add. Apps that you can install appear in the Available Apps section.

4. To add an app to your watch, tap Install.

I *MIGHT* have figured it out?

I haven’t given the alert enough time to proc though.

I went into my phone>phone settings>iCloud>Apps using ICloud>iCloud Calendar>Use on this iPhone>off - which I am HOPING fully deleted it from my phone (I use google calendar). So HOPEFULLY this stops the watch from constantly trying to download it from my phone (which wasn’t synced or on my home page, but apparently was in the library/history of it and not truly deleted).

I shall update if this doesn’t work.

The only thing that worked for me was to download the apple calendar, and just leave it. Set it up so under settings it's not being used. Put it in a folder of unused apps and leave it.

Like someone else said, we want to get rid of the reminder, not download the app.

I did try downloading the app, just in case that would make it stop, but as soon as I deleted Calendar, the reminders started popping up again.

I’m having the same problem and have been for a few weeks. Really frustrating!

Unpairing and repairing the watch from the phone did not fix.

Agreed with everyone else that I don’t want to download calendar.

did you even read question/problem? We want to stop the reminder NOT download the app. I don’t need another flippin app period .

Has anyone figured it out yet? I’ve had the same problem for a couple weeks or so and it’s soooo annoying!!!

Has this been resolved? Got a new watch for Christmas and this reminder is very annoying. As others stated, don’t want to download a calendar.

I’ve done this and it still doesn’t work. Ugh

STILL getting the dang reminders even though I don’t have the app on ANY of my Apple devices.

I’m going to keep troubleshooting it. But good grief. What the heck Apple.

I never had this on my phone, always in OFF position, so I don't think this solves it. Thx, though.

I already had this turned off and I get the notification all the time. 😩 Let us know if this did work for you though!
