Updating Apple apps with different AppleID

First: I have two AppleIDs. Long story there, but it's a factor in this situation. I just bought a new MacBook Pro, and tonight I used Pages for the first time on this new machine. I clicked to share the document I'd just written, and right away I got a prompt to update Pages. I clicked to update and went through the motions until I got an error message. I can't update because years ago I first activated Pages with my first AppleID. I'm using my (not-so) new AppleID.

My question: How to fix this situation? Do I dump Pages, iMovie, Numbers, and Keynote (all four are pending updates in my App Store) and then reinstall them?

Unless you're able to log into the old Apple ID, yes, as well as GarageBand if that's associated with it.
