Macbook Air flickering horizontal stripes on display

Hello Community,

the problem of the flickering horizontal stripes is most of the time but not always.

Dark background the stripes are white, light background stripes are black/greyish.

Seems like a kind of disturbance.

Occurs either on Battery usage as on power connected.

This is not permanent (sometimes no stripes at all) but most of the time.

Also different locations of the house doesn't bring any improvement.

Occurs not on external Monitor.

Specs: Macbook Air M1

Os: Sonoma

Who can help please?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 14.0

thank you or the photo.

Time for a New Screen:

Based on your wording, it seems you need to get your screen replaced. So, take it to your local Retailer, an AASP, or to Apple, directly.

Contact Apple Support:

To find out your options, contact Apple Support. They'll have an upfront answer for you. If purchased from Apple, and deemed a faulty device, it may be of no cost to you.

Apple Support Contact Info:

  • Contact Us - Choose Locations
  • Proceed from there as necessary
  • Note: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)
