Macbook pro is still on MacOS High Sierra Version 10.13.6. Many of the websites warm about outdated Os and do not display contents anymore. When try to update the OS, I do not see any update available for this MacBook Pro. When I went to the App Store, and click on update, it only showed "No app available". How to bring my MacBook up to date to the current OS?

What is the model of your MacBook Pro? What does it say if you look at the Apple menu-->About This Mac? Without this information there's no way to tell the latest MacOS you can run.
Of course, you do have the option of using an alternate browser like Firefox, Brave, DuckDuckGo, or Chrome. You may not see those warnings if using an alternate browser.
It is a MacBook Pro (13 inch, 2017 two thunderbolt 3 ports). That is no option on my apple icon for software updates. I followed the Apple Solution to go to apple store to look for update. When I click on the software update, that is when the "no app update available" showed up.
