iphone 15 Pro Max to Car Play using cable

Once you have set up your iPhone 15 Pro Max to your vehicle, go to settings on your vehicle’s screen. Select Smartphone, select Apple CarPlay, select your new iPhone 15 Pro Max and enable it. This should work with any USB A to USB C connection.

I too was having issues and thought the cable I bought wasn’t compatible but after playing around with the settings on my 2018 Honda CRV screen it worked. Now I can un-return my product. Hope this all works for you.

I have a 2021 Rav4 hybrid and just got a new iphone 15. I tried sooooo many wires and the only one that worked was this one: USB C Cable-3FT, LDLrui USB C to USB A 3.1 Gen 2 Cable, Type C 3A Fast Charge & 10Gbps Data Sync Cable for Android Auto, iPhone 15/15 Plus/15 Pro Max, MacBook. Wire was $7ish on Amazon.

I believe it worked because the wire allows for data syncing. Those in this community who said use a gopro cable were not super helpful as I don't have a gopro, however, it did make me think about what it is about a gopro cable that is different from other cables.

call Toyota and tell them maybe they can help you because they gave me a cable for my new 2024 super GR for Siri. If I find out the name of the cable, I will send it to you. I think it’s just a C.

What about a iPhone 15 Pro Max? I have a 2022 Toyota Camry, but the phone doesn’t work with Car Play. It keeps saying “The connected device is not recognized” on the car’s display screen. It charges for a couple of seconds, but then it stops. The phone is connected by bluetooth, but Car Play isn’t working.

thank you I will try but I have a 2024 Toyota supra GR that I just bought from Toyota and one of the salesman had a cable for me to use to hook up Siri to the automobile. I only have one cable so if I need another cable, what would I ask for please? Thank you for helping me.

What cable did you use? I've been trying to get my iPhone 15 to connect to CarPlay in my 2020 Rav4 without luck for several months.

Apple it does NOT work with my iPhone 15 max pro…please get it together it’s 2024..my car is 2024 and doesn’t work..disappointing
