Trying to share photos between a wired iMac- iOS 12.6 with a wired apple- 4k TV. Both devices share the same modem and ISP.
Keep getting pop up “no libraries available”
Cannot use WiFi as signal is poor at iMac location.

No, you should be able to share the photos between the devices. It might have something to do with your Mac settings, depending on the OS version you're running. The article that was previously shared with you, also gives that information. You could also make sure that you are not experiencing this due to a network issue like a VPN, blocked ports or filtering.

We have previously tried the procedure as per your post without success, I stated in my post both devices were wired/cable/ethernet connected to the modem as opposed to using WiFi - could this be the issue?
Hi, Sean’s reply was a copy and paste from Apple support, and not helpful, the iOS was stated in my original post, never used a VPN, no blocked ports or filtering. Are the Mac settings correct, obviously not….
