Reset iCloud password

The phone got stomped by a cow while it was in my pocket. The

screen is broken. I no longer have the email tied to my Apple ID. I don’t know my password. I need my phone numbers photos etc. How

do I recover the Apple account?

You will only be able to recover the photos and contact if you used iCloud for storing them. Here are your options for resetting your Apple ID Password:

If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support

Having another Trusted Device or Trusted phone number makes this process easier, but the last option shows how to do it over the web. It may take longer to prove your identity over the web. Once you get your password reset, you will be able to view your photos and contacts that were stored in iCloud on the web or after signing in to another device. Hopefully you have another Trusted Device or Trusted Phone number set up with your Apple ID since Apple will not be able to use your email, but you will just have to start following the steps and see where it takes you.

For reference, you will want to change your Apple ID to a working email address after you get your password.

Getting Back Into An Older Apple Account:

A. Reopen the Email Account:

If you wanted to -- and if an option to you -- reenable the eMail account. This may or not be an option to you (and likely not, if a business assigned eMail address). But, if it is, then just enable the eMail account. Once enabled, change the Apple ID password: Change your Apple ID Password - Apple Support

For reference...

B. Recovering Deleted Photos:

Loss of data is something you would have agreed to upon opening an Apple Account. So, if the following does not work, then they are gone. That's just the way it is :(

Troubleshooting Deleted Photos:

Five Tactics to Try:

A. Start here: If you're Missing Photos or Videos in the Photos app - Apple Support

B. Check Recently Deleted:

For iOS16 and later, you can check the Recently Deleted option on your iPhone.

C. Check iCloud, Directly:

For Photos: Go here, and see if they reside in iCloudhttps://www.icloud.com/photos

D. Restore your iPhone from a Backup:

Have any backups of this iPhone prior to this occurrence? If so, restore your iPhone from one that has these photos (the most recent backup, ideally). If not, then take this as a learning experience, knowing to always back up your device for recovery purposes. Important: Back up you iPhone prior to performing this restoration, should anything go wrong from here on out.

E. Where Else to Check:

  1. PC
  2. PDA
  3. eMail
  4. Mac Device
  5. Cloud Storage
  6. Android Phone
  7. USB Flash Drive
  8. External Hard drive
  9. Secure Digital Card
  10. Compact Flash Card
