Hello everyone, I need help with this. I have a Dell laptop that I use for work, however my personal computer is a iMac 27" desktop. I would like to connect both the desktop monitor and my work laptop to be able to use as dual monitor setup. Would this be possible? What connectors or docks would I need to purchase if it it is possible? Thanks in advance!

iMac’s are not equipped with display inputs.
There are some alternate third party solutions like Luna Display and Duet Display that might suit your needs.
iMacs are computers, they are NOT external displays for other devices. If you need an external display for your Dell, please buy one. The third party solution den.thed mentions do work however you may find them complex, expensive and not have the best performance. An external display is a much better solution.
