I have a brand new Apple Watch series 9 and an iPhone 15, and the updated precision finding feature isn’t working as expected. I tap the icon on my watch and my iPhone beeps, but there is nothing that shows up on my watch showing how close I am. I checked all the location services and everything looks checked off, but am I missing something?

Try turning off airplane mode, it works for me.

Apple watch 9, not working for me either. No precise location working for me either. Yup, it's in the house, I know that. When I cant here the ping might be helpful to get the display the apple site shows.
Checked location services and all the settings were checked that I saw a suggested.
It doesn’t work
Precision finding works with Apple Watches Series 9 or Ultra and iPhone 15. Otherwise, all it will do is make a sound.
So, you not only need a watch 9, but and model 15 phone!! Well, not well advertised or mentioned anywhere here that I saw but that appears to be the issue.. bummed.
