Hello,

I understand you're having trouble getting the eSIM to work on your new Apple Watch for your mum. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Ensure Watch and iPhone Compatibility:

- Confirm that the Apple Watch model you purchased supports cellular connectivity.

- Ensure your iPhone is compatible and running the latest iOS version.

2. Set Up Cellular on iPhone:

- Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.

- Tap on "My Watch" and then go to "Cellular."

- Follow the prompts to set up cellular service for your Apple Watch.

3. Check Cellular Plan Activation:

- Ensure that the cellular plan for the Apple Watch has been activated and is associated with the correct device.

4. Restart Apple Watch:

- Restart the Apple Watch by turning it off and then back on. This can often resolve connectivity issues.

5. Update Carrier Settings:

- Check for carrier settings updates. Sometimes, carrier settings need to be updated to enable eSIM functionality.

6. Contact Carrier Support:

- Reach out to your cellular carrier's support for assistance. They can check the status of the eSIM activation and troubleshoot any issues on their end.

7. Verify eSIM Status:

- On your iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Plans. Ensure that the Apple Watch has a cellular plan listed and that it's active.

8. Family Setup:

- Since your mum doesn't have an iPhone, make sure you have completed the Family Setup process correctly on your iPhone, including the activation of the cellular plan for her Apple Watch.

If, after trying these steps, the issue persists, it's recommended to contact Apple Support for further assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on the details of your setup and any potential issues with the eSIM activation.

I hope these suggestions help in resolving the eSIM issue for your mum's Apple Watch. If you have further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to ask.

Best regards,

Ghazanfar

It was an absolute nightmare. I gave up after a huge effort . I hadn’t the energy to go back to them and try and sort it out again. I went back-and-forth, wasted a lot of time. The one thing they tried to do was to make sure that I had clicked the auto payment. I was trying to do all of this before the seven day trial expired Because I didn’t want to get into a battle of trying to recover the first payment . Very disappointing exercise and I don’t know why it should be so difficult. It’s ridiculous
