Before the update to 17.1, the Siri Remote would turn tv off and on and now it doesn’t. Nothing done to the tv settings. Had the Apple TV for quite a while and it has worked flawlessly until updating to 17.1.

I had the same problem since the iOS 17.1 update. Now it works. What I've done :
I suppose that there was an issue, the Apple TV memorized the issue with the cable and switching cable did a reset of the issue.
I hope it can help someone.
Also it does not automatically switch the tv input when it is turned on.
One more bug, it does not control the sound to the soundbar. Can only get sound through tv speakers now.
Finally got it working by powering everything off and back on. Problem solved. Never had to do this before.
julien’s suggestions did not fix my issue, hopefully someone else had better luck?
also have issue with black screen while switching between apps.
