Who was the original Provider for my second/third - hand iPhone 7
The phone is currently locked to Vodaphone. This is not the original Network Provider.

Neither Apple or we have historical phone provider data. If it is locked to Vodaphone, you need to talk to them about unlocking it. If you cannot prove to their satisfaction that you are the original owner of the phone per their records, the phone will likely stay locked to them.
It may be time to cut your losses and opt for a newer, unlocked phone, perhaps from Apple's refurbished site.
