Credible Substitute for Adobe Acrobat
I continue to inundated by Adobe about resubscribing and updating Acrobat on my MacBook. Is there a credible substitute for a simple pdf reader and editor?

I use Master PDF Editor. It's a bit rough around the edges and still doesn't support ColorSync, but it's the only non-subscription PDF editor I could find.
There are lots and lots of PDF apps that call themselves editors that do no such thing. I think I found and tested all of them before finding Master PDF Editor.
