15 pro 120hz vs 60hz

Hi everyone, I’ve tried searching the net but no definitive answers to this. I have a 15 pro and was looking at using the limit frame rate to 60hz to save battery. Thing is, people are saying at 120hz variable refresh rate is enabled so it’ll go between 120hz-10hz, but on 60hz it’ll only stay at 60hz with no variable refresh rate. So is this true? If it is, why would iOS enable the limit in power saving mode? In short, does limit frame rate to 60hz still have VRR enabled?

Can you force 120hz pro motion on ipad pro m4? Hi, Got the pro mainly for oled display and 120hz … However the latter is decided by the machine. I would like to adjust the refresh rate just like you can on a tv set. How hard can that be? I can clearly see the image stutter in movies and I prefer watching them at higher frame rates.
