purchasing a new album on iTunes/Apple Music

All I want to do is purchase an album. I get a message that I need to sync my library - but have no idea what the that means or where I go to do that. I just want to PAY SOME MONEY to buy an album. Can anyone please assist an angry Boomer who obviously is not tech savvy enough to freakin' buy an album. Thanks in advance for any assistance. I apologize for my anger, but ....jeez, it shouldn't be this hard to give my money to Apple, ya know? BTW - I download on my Mac and it is synced to my iPhone.
