Mac OS X Mountain Lion install won’t get past Apple ID

So today I tried to install Mac OS X Mountain Lion on my mid 2010 MacBook Pro and I have wiped the drive and made a bootable install DVD and booted off it and got through the Reinstall process up until the part where you have to enter your Apple ID. I got past 2FA but now when I enter my Apple ID, it just says “signing into App Store” and then just does nothing.

When you next get to the OS X 10.8 password prompt for the Apple ID, append the two-factor verification code received onto the password input. If your Apple ID password is ABCDEF and the two-factor code is 123456, then enter ABCDEF123456 as the password for the Apple ID.

Installing Mountain Lion:

A. Use Ethernet:

Using a hardware connection is usually more reliable than a wireless one. Use this adapter, if you have no Ethernet connection: Apple USB Ethernet Adapter - Apple

B. Use Internet Recovery Mode:

Please Specific the Issue of "Does Nothing":

  • Does the Mac not respond to your click?
  • Does a progress bar not proceed?
  • Do you get an error message?
  • Does the screen stall?
