Haptic feedback was extra strong today, how do I keep it that way?
background:
2 years ago I had a spinal cord injury that had me completely paralyzed and on ventilator. Since then I have been fortunate in getting back much of my functional abilities. But some neuropathy remains, specifically my palms and the pads of my fingers (it’s like im wearing a thick pair of gloves all the time). My hands work pretty well, I can write and type and am able to do repairs around the house with hand tools. I have to look at what I am doing otherwise I will fumble. With the home button I have had the haptic feedback on the higher setting since getting my iPhone (SE 3rd gen/2022 model) about a year ago. It does vibrate a little bit, but it’s almost imperceptible to my numb fingertips.
however, what about a half hour this evening I was able to press on the hunk key and get a quick burst of vibrator. That was easy to feel, I can also hear it as the motor buzzed briefly. That is the kind of feedback that I need. I have looked up on a few different threads and seeing other people have had similar instances happen, but they seem to think it’s a bad thing. Since I think it’s wonderful, I wonder if anybody might know how this happens and if it’s possible to duplicate?
I am open to any and all suggestions, except for shutting down/restarting and/or reinstalling anything.
iPhone SE, iOS 17
