Macbook Air cannot click in certain areas and has no black spots on the screen

So I have the Macbook Air 2018 and in certain areas of the screen I can't seem to click things the cursor will go there but it won't right/left click. The only way the whole screen works is if I exit the full screen. I have tried the basic things like shutting down, restarting and new software updates but this is still happening. Any idea why this is happening and how I can fix this any help would be amazing.
