I’ve got the volume turned all the way up on my phone and my alarms are so quiet that I can hardly hear them. I don’t know what to do and really need this fixed

This is something I was considering returning the phone for, but I found a solution that works for me.
The observation by EdensSerpent led me to the answer. Indeed, "out of the box", when the phone can see you, or you touch it, the alarm gets significantly quieter. Turning the alarm volume up only makes the first second or so of the alarm sound loud, then it lowers the volume.
I went to "Face ID & Passcode" and turned off "Attention Aware Features", and my alarm is now as loud, and in some cases louder, than my previous iPhone, and does not get quieter when touched.
Apple needs to give us a toggle in the Alarm settings to ignore that feature, because it affects so many other things.

My volume is set up to highest but the ringtone and alarm on my iphone 15 is almost impossible to hear
I have done this and it makes no difference
If that worked, it would be great--especially since that's the first thing everyone who has the problem tries, but it doesn't work if you have the problem every here is discussing.
I have this exact same
problem. No matter what I do the alarm plays super soft and I miss it half the time.
Same as me I have to set my alarm clock just in case it doesn’t go off need to up for the kids

I got a new iphone 15. I’m a light sleeper and slept through the alarm missing a 6am flight for an important work trip. It’s very quiet! I also made sure all sounds were turned up.
This solved the issue for me! Not intuitive at all.
That does not work for alarm only. That changes the ringtone volume for the entire phone.
I want my ringtone on the lowest volume, but the alarms on the loudest.

This alarm volume issue is ridiculous. This isn’t the first smart phone ever. Never had this Very Simple issue to fix, with an android, ever. Never ever addressed by such a massive company. Wow
