I am unable to connect my phone to Apple CarPlay the phone does not appear to support this app? Are Apple looking into this issue it’s a pain that I can’t have my satnav displayed on the vehicles dashboard monitor.

iPhone 15 Pro Max now working with Apple CarPlay. I had to order a USB-A to USB-C cable that provides charging AND data transfer capabilities.
Previously, the cable I had only provided charging.

Have you checked if Ford has any CarPlay firmware updates for that 2018 Transit entertainment system, though at five-years old, its implementation of CarPlay support may be getting outdated and Ford may not be updating it.
These are fellow user supported sites and Apple product teams do not participate here, so it is impossible to know about internal CarPlay development.

Many thanks for your response. I can confirm that my vehicle supports CarPlay (Ford Transit custom 2018) as I used it for a few years with no issues when I connected my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Since upgrading to the 15 model it no longer works. I have already read the two articles that you have provided but like I said thank you for doing this.
