Stop seeing someone’s location in IMessage without deleting them from find my app

Since the new update, friends location shows in the chat under their name. I do not like to see that but I would like to keep their location in Find My app. How can I make it disappear from the chat but keeping it in the find my app?

We have tried stopping the find my iphone and reenabling it in imessage but that did not seem to work. The weirder part is I noticed that while they are in a group chat with me, they show up as one of the people I can see the location of but not when I go back to our solo messages. This is a problem unique to this person and they do not have the same problem.

Location different on messages then on find my Hi so this keeps happening to me my friend is sharing their location and when I look at it on Find My their location is a certain place but when I go to the Messages it shows their location in a different place the the one in find my ….why would this be? I wait for it to update and load and it still shows them in a different place

I can't share my location on my iPhone Find My app everytime i try to share my location on imessage it says “sharing location is not available, try again later”. and when i want to share it on the app and my friend or mom asks me to share my location and i press on “share” the notification stays there and doesn’t do anything [Re-Titled by Moderator] Original Title: why cant i share my location on "find my"?
