Mouse scroll on Minecraft

Hi, I had a problem where my mouse in minecraft wouldn't detect single scrolling and I saw this conversation with a similar problem but no solution. Some advised to tweak your laptop settings, however, I found that after increasing the Mouse sensitivity to the max (10 I think) in the minecraft in-game setting, the problem was solved. Simply going to Options>Controls>Mouse Settings>Scroll Sensitivity, will hopefully solve your problem. Posting this for anyone who hasn't yet figured it out (the conversation I saw was from 2016).
