I know when I delete a photo, it deletes it across all devices however I am unable to use that same principle for text messages. How do I set up the accounts so that if I delete a text message on my phone, it also automatically deletes it from my iPad & Mac?

You will need to ensure that you have enabled iCloud Messages for your iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Set up iCloud for Messages on all your devices - Apple Support
Remember, you must explicitly enable Text Message Forwarding for your iPad and Mac on your iPhone...
On your iPhone:
Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding - set to ON - and explicitly enable your iPad and Mac computer from the list of devices.
I did all that so I figured they are all connected through the cloud & should delete across the cloud but it doesn't. Is there something else I'm missing!
And to delete the text messages on my Mac, I have to do it individually instead of a group delete.
