Sharing Maps ETA suddenly sends text message

I updated to new IOS 17.1 on my iPhone, and that's when this problem started to occur.

Normally, when I share my ETA on Maps the recipient receives a notification from Maps to access my ETA as well as my route.

Now that I updated my iPhone, sharing my ETA sends the same Maps notification to the recipient but now also sends a text that reads "I will arrive at [location] around [time]. I'll let you know if I'm running late." I do not want it to send any texts on my behalf and would like to disable that function.

I haven't been able to find this issue online nor have I found a way to turn off texts when looking in settings. I am hoping that others have found a way!
