why is my new iPhone battery significantly degraded and I got a notification that it needs replacement but the battery health is still at 100,I got it from a retailer and I don’t know what to do now, can anyone give me reasons why this happened

Did you have the battery replaced by an authorized Apple Service shop? The reason we ask.....the wrong battery will exhibit what you are seeing. A non-authorized shop does not have access to a genuine Apple battery.
