Hi,
I encountered a strange icon on my iphone 15 pro’s dynamic island (picture attached). I haven't found any information regarding this icon and I don’t know what does it mean.
any suggestions?

I see this icon only when i plug in a thunderbolt dockingstation. it disappears on lockscreen and when i plug out....
believe its indicating theirs an accessory plug into the charging port, akin to when ipads have usbc dongles, a similar cable symbol with appear in top right corner: accessory is plugged and ready to work
So far this issue has only been seen on beta versions, which, almost by definition, are known to be buggy. If they weren’t the would be the public release, not a beta.
As to why it hasn’t been patched, it isn’t a serious bug. At any given time there are thousands of bugs in any software as complicated as iOS. They are prioritized by the QA team, and the most serious get the most attention. As there is a workaround for this issue (restart the iPhone→Restart your iPhone - Apple Support) it is very low priority.

Same, however, it almost looks like it’s telling me to charge the device. Plugging it into a charger did nothing. Once I did a restart it did resolve the issue too. I can’t imagine it just blew that icon on the Dynamic Island for fun though. There has to be a reason.
Just tried the restart and it worked.
So far it seems that this may be an issue for phones that have a beta version. While we can’t discuss beta versions here, if this is the case it should be reported through the beta feedback app.
Doing a hard reset resolved this issue for me.
I did! I had the dongle for usb, usb-c, and hdmi connected. I did a hard restart and the blue cable icon is gone

The operative word here is QUICKLY; and try it a couple of times, the timing is a little tricky.
I got this icon after I plugged in an external drive to my iPhone 15 Pro for recording ProRes video to a thunderbolt drive. However, it did not go away after I unplugged it. I am not sure why this bug has not been patched, because it has happened to me with other things I was doing with the dynamic island, ex. Airdropping.
D you have an accessory connected? Might be what it’s for or showing.
