Is there a way to disable voice isolation features on third-party apps like Zoom?

During a Zoom meditation meeting I wanted to ring a bell to mark beginning, middle, end. No one could hear the bell sitting on my desk next to computer. Must I buy a mic for the computer to pick up the sound? If I had a meditation app would it pick up the sound? Any suggestions for work around?

Apple Support told me no.
