Find original carrier

I am unable to use my new iPhone 11 for Mint Mobile because it is Sim locked. I contacted Mint Mobile and they told me I needed to contact Apple support and you guys would unlock it please and thank you.

Mint Moble is just trying to get you off the phone.


Only the carrier can unlock the phone. Apple is not a carrier. Apple cannot unlock any phone from any carrier. More details here:

But, all you need to know from this document is the following:



You will need to ask whoever you got the phone from about what carrier they were using. Hopefully, they honored the terms of the original agreement. If not, the phone will not be unlocked until they do.
