In some applications the Volume Buttons on my iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 17.1 just don't respond. I have to adjust the volume through control center. Restarting the phone fixes it temporarily and so does closing the app and reopening sometimes.
Any permanant fixes?

Fine is working fine now.
Volume buttons stop working with ESR silicone case with kickstand but restarting phone solve the problem. I gave back the 3rd party case and I’m using Apple Original silicone case which works perfectly fine.

Yes happens a lot with volume in apps , and Alarm doesn’t ring! I almost lose a flight because of that

In my case, I just got the 15plus last week and I’m not able to turn the volume down! I restarted it like 20 times and still. HELP
I’m having the same problem I tried cleaning the inside of my buttons but it just won’t work ,but I have the iPhone 13 with the iOS 17 I tried even resetting my phone completely it just doesn’t work

I got the 15 Pro Max when it came out and my volume button hasn’t worked since I got it. Any ideas on how to fix it?
mine lasted 3 days glitching and not being able to take screenshots cuz the upper volume button didn’t work! but after that it suddenly worked
I turned mine off and that did NOT fix the issue for me. Currently can’t screenshot anything or turn volume up.
