A2038 Keyboard not working with iPad OS17

After upgrading my ipad pro 4th gen to ipadOS 17, my A2038 keyboard folio does not work. I keep getting notices thst this accessory is not supported. Ive used this keyboard for years with no issues whatsoever. Anyone have this issue or know if its a known issue?

Disconnect and reconnect the keyboard to clear the alert. If the alert continues to appear, check the connectors on the keyboard and the back of your iPad for damage or debris. If necessary, gently remove the debris and clean the connectors on your device.
