The latest iMac is the 24" M3 iMac, announced just the other day. It replaces the 24" M1 iMac.

Like its predecessor, it
- Has a 24" 4.5K Retina Display
- Has two USB4 (USB, DisplayPort, Thunderbolt 3) ports
- Can drive at most one external display
- Comes in two-port and four-port versions. Both have the two USB4 ports mentioned above. The four-port versions have two extra USB-C (USB) ports – and include Ethernet and Touch ID keyboards as standard.
- Is available in an assortment of colors
The main changes seem to be
- The upgraded processor (upgraded CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine)
- The ability to order up to 24 GB of RAM
- The version of macOS – the M3 iMacs will ship with Sonoma, and they must run at least that
There are still no 27" iMacs – though there are Mac minis and Mac Studios that you can pair with 27" monitors.
Stock configurations of the 24" M3 iMac have 8 GB of RAM. If you plan to keep a Mac for a long time, or to run anything but lightweight stuff on it, I would recommend getting 16 GB or more. Once you buy the machine, the RAM and the internal SSD space cannot be upgraded. You can add external storage, but not external RAM.
