My Mac is operating on High Sierra and my iPhone does not show in the sidebar of Finder

I have connected my iPhone to my Mac to download a playlist but my iPhone is not showing in Finder

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13

Hi,

Use iTunes to sync your iPhone. You need MacOS Catalina or newer to use finder to sync your iPhone. Sync your iPhone, iPad or iPod using your computer – Apple Support (UK)
