Check coverage magic mouse

Hi I entered my Magic Mouse serial number into coverage checker site but this error occurred:

Please enter a valid serial number.


it means the mouse isn’t original?? I should take it back ??


shop keeper told me sth is wrong with Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support site for verifying mouse I should believe hime or I should take it back ???

Check you are entering the correct serial number:

Find the serial number of your Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, or Magic Trackpad - Apple Support

says:

The serial number of your Magic Keyboard is on the bottom surface of the device, along with other markings. It's a string of 17 letters and numbers.


If the correct serial number generates an error message, the mouse may not be genuine.
