How to Transfer Text Messages from iPhone to Android?

I am looking for guidance on how to transfer text messages from iPhone to Android. I have tried a few methods but haven't been successful. I have important messages that I need to keep in my new device, and I don't want to lose them in the process.

Is there a way to transfer my messages without losing any data or formatting? I'm also looking for suggestions on which tools or software to use. I have very little technical knowledge, so I would appreciate easy-to-follow steps or instructions. Thank you for any help you can provide.

iPhone X, iOS 16

Download Switch to Android app on your iPhone and start you Android device:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/switch-to-android-v1/id1581816143

After that, connect iPhone and Android to the same WiFi. Next, choose to copy apps and data from your old device. You can now transfer text messages, photos and videos from iPhone to Android.

If this does not work (highly possible according to user review), you can use a dedicated phone transfer software to complete the migration. Here is a nice tutorial for that:

P.S. Do backup your data on iPhone in case of data corrupt during the transfer.

Transferring text messages from iPhone to Android can be a bit of a bumpy ride since they're such different ecosystems, but don't worry, there are ways to make it happen.

Here's a simple breakdown to guide you through:

Use a Transfer App: There are apps designed specifically for this task. 'Move to iOS' app by Apple is meant to do the opposite of what you need, but there's 'iSMS2droid' which can help you move your texts from iPhone to Android. You'll need to backup your iPhone first, then convert the SMS database and transfer it to your Android.

Manual Transfer with Backup:

    • Backup your iPhone using iTunes on your computer.
    • Locate the backup file and find the file named 3d0d7e5fb2ce288813306e4d4636395e047a3d28 (it's the SMS database) and copy it to your computer.
    • Use 'iSMS2droid' to convert this file into an Android-readable format and import it into your Android's messaging app.

Email or Cloud Services:

    • If you're only looking to transfer a few important conversations, you might consider emailing them to yourself or saving them to a cloud service like Google Drive or Dropbox. This way, you can access them from your Android device as needed.

Since you prefer easy-to-follow steps, third-party software with good customer support might be your best bet. They often have visual guides and simple interfaces. However, make sure to check the reviews and credibility of the software before you dive in.

Hello, trasnfer iphone message to android is little bit difficult.

This method is a bit complicated because we will have to workout a lot in order to completely transfer the messages.

Step 1 : Connect your iPhone to a computer and install iTunes app. Open iTunes and click Device icon at the upper left corner. Then click "Summary" tab and Back up tab next. iTunes will create a full backup of your iPhone and save it on the computer.

Step 2 : Find the backup file on Mac and Windows PC. If you are using Mac platform, then the backup file is located at /(user)/Library/Application Support/Mobile Sync/Backup. On the other hand, if you are a Windows user then the file is located at /users/(username)/AppData/Roaming/Apple Computer/Mobile Sync.

Step 3 : Now, look at the file that has been created recently. The SMS backup is be named as "3d0d7e5fb2ce288813306e4d4636395e047a3d28". If you have trouble finding this file, then simply copy the text and paste it on the search bar.

As far as i know, using iSMS2droid to transfer text messages betwwen iPhone and Android, some messages may be lost or not transferred properly. And its setup process can be a bit complicated for non-tech-savvy individuals.I need more professional and stable data transfer software.

I transferred from a Samsung S21+ to a new S24+ no issue using Smart Switch. The S24+ was defective or riddled with overlapping software, whatever. I had to transfer to an iPhone12 and used the transfer to IOS, no issue. All apps, messages, photos, calendar, all the essentials came over, except my music. I downloaded Audify music player on both and was able to transfer all the music on my samsung to the iphone. Now I have a replacement S24 Ultra and Smart Switch, which seems to be pretty much the same thing as Switch to Android did not move my apps, messages, or all of my contacts, (only some of my contacts). I actually used both Smart Switch and Switch to Android and got the same result. iPhone doesn't like to share. :/ If someone figures out a way to move messages, please let me know too!

Update! I should've researched a little longer.

Here are the directions from Samsung on how to transfer everything from IOS to Android. You will need a USB cable between the two. I'm doing it now.
