Using date as Photo file name

iphones automatically save photos with file names in the format IMG-1234.

Is there a setting to change this to use the date/time as the file name instead?

photo file name, change away from IMG_1234? not impressed generally with my iPhone, regret purchasing it. probably move away from apple, new phone upgrade. so, this is just another annoying feature of apple - file naming convention for its photos IMG_1234. so, when i take a IMG_1234 photo, then delete it, the phone then allocates this file name to the next new photo to be taken. so, there would be two IMG_1234 if the previous version was downloaded and saved. so, instead it would be nice if the photos were just named by date/time stamp, rather than this sequential file naming convention. can my iphone name its photo files in a different format to IMG_1234?

Problem with changing date and/or time of photos saved in 'Photos' on iPhone 14 I have iPhone 14 and the latest IOS. I tried to adjust (change) the date and time of some of my photos stored in PHOTOS and iCLOUD, but after enetering new day or time and clicking 'Adjust', there is no change in the sequence of the photos (ie. photos are displayed as if there were still associated with the original date/time. Please help if you know how to solve the problem.

Time Stamp File Name of Photo's? Why can't my iPhone just time stamp photo's by using numbers in the file name to represent year, month, day, time? When I try to get this information I have to go select that field in my file explorer after the files have been transferred to my computer. Then I get contrary information in multiple fields. Date modified is identical to Date created and Date taken is AFTER Date modified and Date created. See attached photo. Clearly I couldn't have created or modified the photo file prior to it being taken. Now I can't trust that the Date taken information is accurate. Very frustrating, so why not just put the time stamp in the file name and save us the headache?
