Apple Pay has been hacked, what to do?

I thought Apple Pay was an added form of protection. In one day two cards were hacked. Help?

No, your credit card number was skimmed or shimmed. Skimming is when you swipe your card and the magnetic data is captured by a device called a skimmer. Fraudulent actors then enter the data online or create a fraudulent card (fake) with your data. A shimmer is similar, but captures data off the chip.

Please contact your credit card servicer by call the phone number on the back of the compromised card. When calling ask for the fraud department.

Jeff, read my post and explain to me how I caused my own problem with Apple Pay when I never activated it or utilized it on any level. Explain how it magically appeared and how someone or some computer tried to put charges on it that my bank flagged. The latest breach regarding credit scores has given an unknown entity our SS numbers, DOB, addresses and phone numbers. Do you think that possibly that could make it easier to do what people believe can’t be done?

Hi, my bank account was compromised and within 2 minutes 7 fraudulent transactions were made with my card details. My bank are saying they won’t pay a chargeback as the transactions took place using Apple_Pay on a device authenticated by me. But this is not possible as the transactions were taking place I had my phone in my hand and was able to witness the money being taken with each transaction and fortunately able to act fast and block the merchant they were using and withdraw the remainder of my funds into another account before they emptied me out.

however I can now see on my transaction history with my bank that a few hours prior to this a Google card verification took place.

my question is how was someone Apple to set up Apple Pay with my card details without me knowing?

So I've been using My Apple pay to travel on NYC public transportation. I would use it because I also believed it was the most secure method on those tap and go machine. After 10 pm i’m home in NJ and got several notifications of transactions taking place with my apple pay cash that I had on the card at NY MTA station. I was able to view the time and location. My debit card was also in the wallet and I removed it just in case they were able to access it. So if apple pay cannot be hacked what do we call that?

I use it on a regular M-F and whenever I do the notification with the charge pops up. It’s never shown up two days later for me. That recent transaction which took place last night had the time and the location. The one this morning stated 6 mins ago so I removed the funds completely off the card because I realized reporting the several charges last night did not block the card from being used until it was figured out like a bank would’ve done
