You can also add “Code Scanner“ to your Control Center.
It launches the Camera App in “QR Mode” …
… which tends to work faster than waiting for the camera to “figure it out.”
It also has a conveinent “flashlight” button right on the screen; very helpful when extra illumination is needed.
