hp laserjet 1018 printer
i have a HP laserjet 1018 printer and i cant find anymore drivers for MacOS Monterey 12.7.1 , any ideas please?

The HP LaserJet 1018 is a printer supported for Windows and Linux only, but has been reported to work with a LaserJet 1022 driver under some Mac operating systems.
An HP LaserJet 1022 driver 1.6.1 is mentioned in connection with the HP 5.1.1 Printer Software Update package (HP 5.1.1 Printer Software Update) from Apple. The system requirements for this 5.1.1 package from Apple say Not compatible with macOS v12 and newer, but reports (about similar printer models) seem to indicate that the download could work with macOS 12 (and even newer versions) anyway. So, you may want to try the 5.1.1 package from Apple for the LaserJet 1018, but look upon this as an experiment. If necessary, try resetting the printing system. Make sure that you have backup copies of all important files before testing anything.
