Hiya, I've just taken my iPhone out of a hot wash (managed to get it tangled with bedding). It seems to be working and is on. I'm looking on posts that say never turn on your phone, putting it in rice etc but should I turn it off now? Shall I put it next to the radiator to dry it out more?

I'm really sorry to hear about this.
Your phone very well could be 100% fine, turning it off and setting it by a radiator would be smart. It very well may be water damaged though, so it would be smart to back it up, in case it stops working.

Tiny rice particles get into the ports and openings of the iPhone and expand, clogging everything up and preventing internal moisture from escaping and drying out.
Unfortunately, it's too late now, but putting a wet phone in rice is about the worst thing you can do.
Let the phone dry out for at least 2 days. Do NOT put the phone in rice.
Make a wish and power up the phone. You will have your answer in a minute or two.

I charged it up to 100%, turned it off, and put it in the utility room where it stays warmer and dryer than the rest of the house. I won’t use it for two days/48 hours.
Sorry, but your iPhone can't be saved by drying it. At some point in time, corrosion will set in and damage the hardware beyond repair, if it hasn't already.
You will need to buy a new iPhone.
I washed iPhone in washing machine. How long before I have to replace it?
There is no way of knowing.
Your iPhone might not be broken, iPhone 7 and later are water resistant so this may be a non issue for you depending on what iPhone you have.
