Black cursor in Apple Notes dark mode

In Apple Notes the cursor has unfortunately again turned dark in dark mode. Dark on dark is really difficult to see so please make the cursor light again!

I am running Sonoma - but wether the English settings titles is named Preferences or System settings in Sonoma I don't no since my system language is Danish. I guessed it was System preferences. I think it's close enough for other users to understand!

You can see a screenshot of everything here - also for the ones having the same problem as me it should make better sense with this screenshot.

How to change the colour of the mouse pointer in macOS 14 Sonoma

  1. Open System Settings.
  2. Open the Accessibility settings.
  3. Find the Display settings.
  4. Change the colour of the pointer outline.
  5. Change the colour of the pointer fill.
  6. Revert to the original pointer colour.
  7. Close System Settings.

I found the solution. The color of the cursor (not the mouse pointer) in fx Notes and all other text fields as well is set under System Preferences -> General -> Highlight color.

You found the solution I posted at 5:21 am this morning? lol Good job. 😎

The cursor color is based on the Highlight color in System Settings > Appearance. In my case, Green.
