Adobe Acrobat converts my files from Word to PDF on it's own on my MacBook Air

I have a subscription to Adobe by another user., my partner has paid for the license. Adobe keeps telling me to get a 7 day trial. I now can not access files without paying them. On the adobe customer services chat they tell me that I have no account and do not hold my card details. I have downloaded the app again, the old app does not want to go in the bin. I can log into the app , my own personal files have been converted by Adobe, is there a way to convert them back at once or do i have to go through all my files and convert them back to a word version one by one? How can Adobe be stopped from converting my personal docs to PDF's Where do i find the libray to complete this advice from another Mac user: To eliminate this behavior, go to /Library/Internet Plug-Ins and delete the Acrobat Reader Plugin. Be sure you do this in the /Library at top-level on your Hard drive, not just the Library in your User account.

For starters, Acrobat isn't converting anything. It has simply assigned itself as the default app to open .doc and .docx files, which it then presents like a PDF.

To get the OS to assign them back to Word, right click on a .doc or .docx file-> click on Get Info-> click on the drop down menu where it says "Opens With"-> select Microsoft Word-> click the Change All… button-> click Continue.

You'll have to do the above to .doc and .docx files separately.

As far as Acrobat pestering you about the 7 day trial, each Creative Cloud account allows you to activate the software on two computers, and two only (any combination of Windows or Mac). That it keeps asking sounds like two are already in use, so you can't activate a third. As such, it remains in trial mode.

I have been signing in to Acrobat with my Apple sign in though.

That isn't possible. Apple and Adobe each have their own login servers. Though I'm guessing what you may mean is you're using the same email address as your user account name for both companies.

What you show is a bit confusing for a free Adobe account. It shows items that, according to Adobe's site, are not party of a free account. This is what they show.

Regardless of the mismatch, if this is what you're logged into on your Mac, that's why you can't use Acrobat Pro. It's not part of a free account.

That I know of, you can only be logged into one Adobe account at a time. If you want access to your partner's Creative Cloud apps, you have to login to his or her account.

Hello thank you for your help. I am on the file , a PDF of my passport of which Adobe has messed up the photo. I will just scan my passport again, but I am experimenting with this image. When I open it it is offering teh 7 days trial again. If I go to my account it is mentioning the I cloud and other things. I understand this is not an Apple product, but I would like to dissply teh Acrobat view as I sometimes need things in Word. I have attached a screenshot of my account options, I never used the cloud before. My partner has paid for adobe so I can use it as well, I have been signing in to Acrobat with my Apple sign in though. that seems to have improved things a bit. Could you please show me how to check if I have 2 accounts open?
